I'm not sure if you have noticed the rising popularity of the bearded man, but it's like bearded men are popping up everywhere.
Don't get me wrong, I find beards incredibly sexy when my husband sports his winter beard.
It's why I created this DIY beard oil recipe this past fall. It is quite yummy smelling. I love its light hint of orange and his woodsy smell.
My husband really enjoyed using it.
I enjoyed the fact that his beard was softer and healthier than it has ever been. Pinterest is full of great beard stuff, but what about Men's Skin Care for the non-bearded guy in your life?

Come summer, when my hubby shaves all of his beard off, there is just something that makes this momma smile. I just love to rub his just shaved face and feel that baby soft skin. So I got to thinking and poking around Pinterest to find a Men's skin care DIY project.
Just because he isn't sporting a full beard doesn't mean a guy doesn't want a little Men's skin care to keep his baby soft face looking sexy.
So when coming up with this Men's skin care, DIY Shave Oil there were a few things I wanted the shave oil to do for my guy.
Promote Clean Skin
Moisturizing
Refreshing Cologne
Rejuvenate Skin.
Seeing my husband is what you call a Man's man.
Men's skin care is not exactly on the top of his bucket list. But I do know that he would be happy for a solution to prevent dry skin caused by shaving and something that would smell nice and manly couldn't hurt.
So what oils did I pick for this sexy, all natural Shave Oil for Men's skincare?
Essential Oils Great For Men's Skin Care
Cypress has a great woodsy scent I knew my husband would enjoy.
Patchouli Another great manly scent that makes me think about the outdoors.
Of course, Lavender is just amazing for everything and can help soothe dry skin from shaving, Frankincense is fabulous for anything dealing with skin.

Hello, Ruth - I make my own shaving soaps as well as shaving oil - I use sweet almond oil, castor oil or macadamia nut oil as a carrier for the shaving oil, and sandalwood, lemon or bergamot essential oil plus a little lavender as fragrance.

Is this an after shave oil? Or can it be used to shave with?

Amber, I created it as an after shaving oil. But it could also be utilized while shaving too.

Could you change the Patchouli to Joy or Ylang Ylang for ladies you think? I prefer shave oil for my legs, and I'm wondering if that could work.

I think Joy or Ylang Ylang would be great to make this a more feminine scent! Let me know how it turns out. I've been thinking about creating a ladies shave oil. You've inspired me to give it a go.
